Hispanic Heritage Month Lecture

The Hispanic Heritage Month (HHM) events at Georgia Tech celebrate and recognize the economic, cultural, and social contributions of Latinos in the United States. The Office of Hispanic Initiatives (OHI) advises a student committee to coordinate efforts with several Hispanic and Latino student organizations in organizing this monthlong HHM celebration of Hispanic culture and achievements.

As part of Institute Diversity’s Intercultural Lecture Series, the inaugural HHM Lecture will feature Esmeralda Santiago, best-selling author, award-winning screenwriter, and essayist, to discuss “Latinx Community Activism in Contemporary America.” The HHM Lecture is sponsored by Institute Diversity and GoSTEM Program.
