Student Diversity and Inclusion

The Executive Director for Student Diversity and Inclusion promotes and supportd campus culture that values diversity and inclusiveness and provided administrative leadership for a newly created division within the VPID office focusing on recruiting, retention, and graduation programs and initiatives enhancing racial/gender/social equity.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Continuous review and assessment of initiatives to align the intent, scope, and impact of programs, with institute goals, and legal requirements. Provide leadership for the recruitment and retention of programs and initiatives enhancing racial/gender/social equity, and work closely with colleagues in the office of the VPID and other appropriate institute units (Six Institute colleges) , including Enrollment Services (Admissions, financial Aid), Success Programs, Student Services, and Housing.
  • Collaborate with campus departments to recruit and retain students and enhance the student experience at GT.
  • Utilize research and data analysis as guidelines to assess new initiatives in the recruitment and retention efforts for students at Georgia Tech.
  • Fundraising and development activities with corporate, foundation, state, local and federal funders to support historically underserved minority and female students ; 90% of program funding for the services provided from this unit is required from outside sources.
